Jamaica Nice. is proud to be a partner of Girls Skate Jamaica which began in August 2022 with the goal of creating safe and inclusive environments for females to practice skateboarding. GSJA has been a huge success with hundreds of girls getting access to skateboarding and quality instruction, and mentorship.
Launched by Kayla Wheeler with the establishment of Girls Skate Day in August 2022, Girls Skate Jamaica now offers weekly classes that attract young women of all backgrounds. And the “Cruise Out, Di Crew's Out” all-day activity created by Kayla and Kaydia Mcdonald which hits various skate spots around town has become a signature event drawing interest from all 'bout!
Part proceeds from the sale of every Jamaica Nice. top and accessory supports the community. Jamaica Nice. funds music scholarships for tertiary students, workshops and educational experiences for Jamaicans at the high school and college level, teaching residencies for foreign music educators at schools in Jamaica and international exchanges for students and teachers.
